LIZA HUNTER BIO

Liza Hunter grew up in Columbia, SC and graduated from Clemson University in May 2021 with a degree in Performing Arts and a Women's Leadership minor. Her training includes her Clemson University Classes (including acting, directing, structure of drama, improvisation, and stage combat), the University of South Carolina’s Drama Conservatory, and Blythewood High School’s Talented and Gifted Drama. Liza has been seen in productions around South Carolina with Clemson University, the Market Theatre Company, Workshop Theatre, and Blythewood High School. Liza's film credits include Lilly Reece Danner in Dreadful Sorry, a short film created through the South Carolina Film Commission. In 2019 Liza was a part of the cast of the Market Theatre Company's The 39 Steps which was awarded First in the State at the South Carolina Theatre Association's Community Theatre Festival. In 2018 Liza was awarded Best Supporting Actress for the Southeastern Theatre Conference’s High School Festival for her performance as the Red Queen in Growing Up Wonderland. Other awards include Miss Blythewood Teen 2017 and Top 15 in Miss South Carolina Teen 2017. Some of Liza’s favorite roles include Sharpay in High School Musical, Emily in Our Town, Daisy in Rhinoceros, Sally in You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown, Polynesia in Doctor Doolittle, and Jacob Marley in A Christmas Carol. In her free time Liza likes to sing, spend time with her family, and go camping.
